Vitamin D is quite the unknown, there is not much research on it. The most that has been researched is in varying ethnicities and lifestyles. The other thing is we know some of what it does inside of the body the vast majority of Vitamin D in the body is bound to proteins strands and some of it is free floating in the body, this has many helpful effects that keep the body in top shape, the rest is pretty much guess work
